- Description
- The rather minimal approach towards the existing building and the focusing of the budget to keep the environmental impact of the house as low as possible has been the main concern of the project.
The used systems could be described shortly as follows:
For climate control:
Passive cooling for the terrace
Sun Louvres and shading devices
Massive Insulation of the exterior elements
Solar Thermal Collector and the efficient heating system
For energy conservation:
At least Class A+ Appliances
Compact flourescent lighting
Solar Tunnel
For water conservation:
Rain water collector
Drip Irrigation System
Small package treatment plant
Our client agreed to let us study the impact the house has uppon the environment for the next 5 years. The results will be posted periodically on our website. - Beneficiary
